BOO FUCKING HOO PT. 2
Wussy of the Week: Richard Dicker (guffaw) of that august body, Human Rights Watch, whose panties are in a wad over the tough new judge presiding over the trial of mass-murdering scumbag Saddam Hussein:
"The events take us further away from the basic practices of fairness that are necessary in any trial & especially in a trial of this significance."
Runner-up: Saddam Hussein, outraged that the judge threatened to have him thrown out if he didn't shut the fuck up:
"For 35 years I led you, & you say, 'Eject him?'"
However, Beautiful Atrocities agrees with nutcase defense lawyer Ramsey Clark: the whole trial is a farce. They should just take him out back & shoot him.

SADDAM HUSSEIN, MILF
Beautiful Atrocities
condemns the humiliation of genocidal mass-murdering scumbag Saddam
Hussein by the US Army. The man is a POW, not
some lingerie model, some rump roast, some
Jeff Gannon
for cheap titillation. Such outrages only make people in
foreign countries - Manhattan & Hollywood - think poorly of us, & make
people who already hate us - the UN, Newsweek - hate us
even more.
It also sends the wrong message to other genocidal mass-murdering scumbags. You can bet Kim Jong Il isn't walking around with skid marks after this latest fiasco, & only the harshest shape-enhancing skivvies are hugging Robert Mugabe's succulent thighs. The glorious insurgents are no doubt poring over International Male, lest their families in Lahore & Mogadishu & Whositstan be shamed & shunned:
"My name Ikday. We are refugee. We flee our home after our meathead son become Page 3 girl in last year's tired old JC Penney knockoffs. Death to America!"
If you think any of this is remotely funny, tell me, are you wearing fresh underwear? Are you even wearing underwear?? Could you grab your ankles without showing tire tracks? How would you feel if, after murdering 250,000 people, attacking 4 of your neighbors, & enduring tea with Sean Penn, your tight white ass was flashed from here to Alpha Centauri?
What next, enter your credit card for a few hot ones with Dr. Germ? Video of Chemical Ali dry-humping his pillow, like he's not the Goebbels of Iraq but Vince Neil or Paris Hilton? Osama bin Laden in a rubber diaper? Zarqawi bukkake? GENOCIDAL MASS-MURDERING SCUMBAGS ARE PEOPLE TOO.

THIS IS YOUR WAR
One of the best written milblogs, by an Army infantryman in Iraq whose prose snaps, crackles, & pops with poetic details of life on patrol.
"Tonight the clouds created a roof over the earth, the distant lights of Baghdad reflected off the undersides of the clouds. The wind carried the muted sounds of conversations & the occasional bark of laugher. The palms scraped & rustled against each other. Hushed voices from the night, trying to tell me something, but just out of hearing.
"I don't really mind guard duty. It gives me time to myself & time to think, except when you are fighting to stay awake because you haven't slept in days & have been moving hard. I've spent shifts stabbing myself in the hand just to keep my eyes
"Or it's raining & you're soaked, fingers numb, nose running, the wind tearing through you, cutting exposed skin like knives. Then you just retreat inside, shut down your higher senses, & wait it out like a beast of the field. I've seen plenty of good Soldiers defeated by their own minds. Driven to the point of madness by being miserable."

SILENCE OF THE CHICKS

from THE MONETARY ECONOMICS OF THURSTON HOWELL III
"Why did the movie star take a day cruise in an evening gown? Why did two of the richest people in the world board a dinky boat instead of leasing a private yacht? And why do the stranded castaways treat the millionaire's government money as valuable while stuck on an island where no such government can enforce its value?
"After the invasion of Iraq, there was no central bank printing dinars & no Iraqi government to put the fiat behind its fiat currency. The American military started handing out US $20 bills & expected the dinar to fade from existence. Instead, the dinar's value doubled against the dollar in two weeks.
"While it may seem that Gilligan's fellow castaways would reject Howell's dollars as worthless, the case of the Saddam dinar offers evidence in favor of 'worthless paper.' The law of supply & demand tells us that a rise in the supply of a thing will lower the price of that thing. The thing, in this case, is the dollar itself; its 'price' is its buying power, which the Iraqis watched erode drastically within days.
"This is why the castaways value Thurston Howell's paper dollars: because whatever absurd amount he may have brought with him for 'a three-hour tour,' that amount is now fixed. Dollars are the most stable currency available on Gilligan's Island, & the government has nothing to do with it: if people are allowed to pick their own preferred money, they will pick whatever holds its value most reliably."

IRAQI OPTIMISM vs AMERICAN PESSIMISM
GREAT MOMENTS IN IRAQ From an Army journalist: donkey pulling broken-down car; getting kicked in nuts by mean camel; jihadis in drag with no underwear; national obsession with Tina Turner. Tina Turner??

VAN GOGH KILLER A HERO IN NETHERLANDS:
"Ten years ago we heard in group 7 & 8 [10-11 years old] pupils say: 'We Moroccans take over the Netherlands.' Now we see pupils in group 3 [5 years old] - who can barely write – already write phonetically ‘F*ck you Netherlands'. Pupils in group 8 have a photo of Mohammed B. [Killer of Theo van Gogh] in their schoolbag, they see him as their hero."
IRAQIS RALLY AGAINST TERRORISM:
"Thousands of students in Basra University demonstrated against terrorism. The rally was not against the terrorism carried by the Salafi/Jihadists but against the terrorist activities of the religious parties in Basra & mainly the Sadirsts. The anti-democracy forces are facing their worst enemies, a foe that is more formidable than American or Iraqi official troops."

IRRELEVANCE OF POLITICAL ARABISM Well-written analysis of winds of change in Mideast, including increasing failure of Arab leaders attempting to use Israel as defining wedge issue:
"The rally of Nasrallah was mobilizational, like the rallies of the Baath party & the Socialist Union, aimed at shifting the topic to the Arab-Israeli conflict, & the confrontation between Syria & Israel. The underlying message to Nasrallah's rally was forget Hariri. It's possible that Hezbollah will pay dearly for this strategic error."

From Combat Doc's gallery of souvenirs from his Iraq tour:
"This is a5.56mm round I started carrying in my body armor about a month after arriving in country. When the beheading videos started to surface I pulled the first round out of my magazine, stared at it knowing its fate, & placed it in the strap behind one of my mag pouches. I would pull it out every once in a while to inspect it & put it right back. Most guys would joke about it but a few of us actually talked about it & what it was for. That's usually when the conversation quickly changed. No one would admit it but the thought of getting captured was worse than having to eat this thing. No way was my family going to see me online. I'm glad that we both made it home."

Iraq & Iraqis: "After few years from now inside Iraq it will be very prodding to sit beside a chimney fire & tell the story of that day to a grandson or two, or at least to remember that day alone & remember that we weren’t afraid of a bunch of masked head-choppers who wanted to take us to dark ages where we would be slaves of evil."
Hammorabi: "Surprisingly those who voted for the master of the mass graves are abstaining now!"
Free Iraqi: "Tomorrow I & the Iraqis that are going to vote will rule, not the politicians we're going to vote for, as it's our decision and & work for us this time & if we don't like them we'll kick them out! Tomorrow my heart will race my hand to the box."
Iraq the Model: "The terrorists have challenged the bravery of the Iraqi people but they messed with the wrong people. The people have accepted the challenge; democracy & elections are not a luxury for Iraqis, it's an issue of life or death; we're not the kind of people that kneel to terror & the sights of blood & beheadings "
Sun of Iraq: "Do you know what I will do? I will buy new clothes & I will put the flowers around my neck to meet the democracy it is like my missing sweetheart whom I looking for her in my dreams. Please say with me long live the democracy long live the love long live Iraq."
Losers Blog: "I've seen on TV hope & smile return to Iraq faces even tears in their eyes, a thing we even couldn't dream about it finally come true…"
I did notice a number of Iraqi expatriate blogs in Europe with nothing but contempt for the American occupiers. Of course, they're living in Europe instead of Iraq for a reason, which was removed by the blood of American soldiers. These gutless cowards would do well to consider who would be occupying the country now if not the Coalition. Or are genocidal despots supposed to vanish by goodwill, & representative govt to spring from the earth like daffodils?

10 year old Saleh Khalef was reunited with his mother in SF on Dec 21. A year earlier, he picked up a roadside bomb in Iraq, & the explosion destroyed both hands, 1 eye, shredded his abdomen, & killed his 16yo brother Dia. USAF surgeons broke protocol to operate on him in their trauma unit, nicknaming him Lion Heart for his amazing survival.
With his father Raheem, Saleh was flown to Children's Hospital in Oakland, where he began a long series of operations.
"Well-wishers sent Saleh piles of stuffed animals & toy cars. A Yemeni couple in Oakland made daily treks with yogurt & rice. Muslim groups in Oakland & Marin collected nearly $4000 for Raheem & Saleh. Arabic professors from UC Berkeley came by to console Raheem. Schoolchildren made Saleh quilts & cards. Nurses brought balloons. Firefighters dropped by with a red hat & miniature fire truck."Just before Christmas, his mother, 2 sisters, & baby brother flew to Oakland, to be with Saleh & start a new life as legal immigrants. SFgate has the whole story at Operation Lion Heart, including how to donate to Saleh's fund. Read it & be humble.

DRACULA'S DAUGHTER

Raghad Hussein
My name is Raghad Hussein and mine is a hard-luck tale. I grew up in the kind of fabulous wealth and privilege you just can't f*cking imagine. I was the Paris Hilton of Baghdad. Daddy was a psychopath but he had his moments. My brothers Uday and Whozzit were animals. Let's face it, I'm the only normal one in the bunch, like Marilyn Munster.
My husband was a Baathist thug but he was my thug until Daddy killed him. And then that stupid Supreme Court elected George Bush, and, well, you know the rest. Now I'm stuck in Amman, which is frankly a pit toilet.
Can you believe people are criticizing me because I recently had a boob job, a tummy tuck, a nosejob, & a facelift?? Or because I love $hopping and doing the stairmaster and having my hair coiffed? Do you say coiffed?
Yes, I asked Mr. Ashcroft to return the jewels from our 5000 presidential palaces, but that is our rightful property. A girl has to eat. As Chelsea Clinton would say, Don't hold my Daddy's sociopathy against me. If any agents are reading this, I could use a big fat book deal. Also I do a little singing and tap dancing. Perhaps that grotesquely obese honorary Baathist Michael Moore could get me some exposure.
I could make it worth your while, Mr. Moore. Hell, I've done worse.
