They had a recent televised debate *recently*? :p (apparently whoever composed the original e-mail spends too much time at engrish.com.)

I think we should all be very proud of what we and the Iraqis have done despite the efforts of Zarqawi and Kennedy. But since the info above is originally from an e-mail, I'd still want to verify its details before giving it to Brit Hume or anything. Still, the steep rise in cell phone use definately seems to point to an expanding sense of freedom for Iraq's women :p

BUSH LIED!!!!

HALIBURTON!!!! ;-)

But still...no WMD's...so just because there is democracy in Afghanistan and Iraq and peace talks with Israel and Palestine and terrorists running out of bodies to blow up thus meaning less of them to terrorize us doesn't mean it was worth it!!!!....oh wait...yes it does.

RWS,

Nice. But you forgot Libya giving up it's WMD, the isolation of Syria, some advancement of democracy in Saudi etc...

...and scaring cockroaches like Russia and China out from behind the fridge.

But what's with Kid Assad? Does he even watch the news?

So wait......it wasn't about the oil?

Guess I'll have to return that Hummer. That sucks man. I love this thing.

Posted by: Tman at February 17, 2005 05:27 PM

Do not return me. You will want me outside the garage (I don't fit in too many garages) when the sh*t hits the fan. Also, admit it, you enjoy pulling up behind and terrorizing the electric cars with me. :-)

I always wondered why Bill Clinton chose whacko-environmentalist Al Gore to be his veep, given WJC's known affinaty to the hummer.

Yes, but what about prostitution? You can not havce a progressive modern state without copius prostitution. Once that industry takes hold, we'll know we have really accomplished our goal.

And casinos, of course. God, I love capitalism. : )

That is all well and good, but...

Do they have an independent media with gay prostituting conservative reporters?

I think not!

Posted by: King of Fools at February 18, 2005 01:43 PM

So what's your point Jeff? That the war was a resounding success because the US is 25% through
rebuilding a country it flattened. Apart from the daily agressions by the occupation forces and by the suicide bombers, all these pseudo-achievements that you're pointing at prevailed during Hussein's dictature. So you're right the media should have paid more attention to the fact that Iraq had a government, schools, universities, an oil industry, but this should have happened BEFORE bombing, not after.

Don't forget the part Sean Penn said about it being a kite-flying paradise before the war. Can't these idiot neocons learn to wage war without anyone getting hurt??

Yeah, it definitely sounds like it was a utopia before the war. You should read this article: http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/prem/200503/langewiesche
