Meet my Congresswoman, Barbara Lee. Most of you probably know Barbara as the national laughingstock who cast the only No vote against authorizing a military response to 9/11. This is a pattern with Barbara. In 2001, she was the only member of Congress to attend psychotic America- & Israel-phobic Durban conference. In 1999, she was the only House member to oppose a resolution supporting US troops already serving in Serbia. In 1998, she was one of only 5 who opposed Clinton's bombing of Iraq. But there's so much more to Barbara.

Meet Barbara's friends: Huey Newton, "Minister of Defense" for murderous Black Panthers. Former Communist Party president Angela Davis. Cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. Social commentator Harry Belafonte, who called Rice & Powell Bush's house slaves. Protege of Ron Dellums, who during Cold War introduced yearly 'peace budget' mandating 75% cut in defense spending and called for abolishing all intelligence agencies.
BARBARA IS A TRAINED SOCIAL WORKER
On 9/11: "My professional training is as a social worker and I understand the human psyche."
On Elian Gonzalez: "As a trained social worker, I can unequivocally say that Elian's father is totally fit."
On her unique perspective: "Throughout my political career, I've sought to bring my training as a social worker to bear on problems."
Barbara's background: Served on national committee of Communist-splinter group Committees of Correspondence. Dellums & Lee enamored of Castro as well as Marxist dictator Maurice Bishop of Grenada. Lee possibly committed treason by colluding with Bishop in coverup of Soviet military plans for Grenada. (The fact that Dellums was head of Senate Armed Services Committee & Lee sits on Intl Relations & Foreign Affairs Committees should make you sweat.)
Press Release: “This report by the 9/11 Commission confirms what we’ve known all along: the Bush Administration did not tell the truth to the American people. There was no connection between al Qaeda and Iraq.” (In fact, the Commission's final report found contacts between the Hussein regime & Al Qaeda throughout the 90's, culminating in a offer to give bin Laden safe haven in Iraq.)
Press Release: Welcomed the 9/11 Commission’s recommendation that American homeland security needed to be beefed up, which is good news, since she opposed Patriot Act, Dept. of Homeland Security, military border patrols, nomination of John Ashcroft, & arming airline pilots. On Patriot Act: "The roving wiretaps allowed in this bill would permit federal agents to eavesdrop on every computer in use in a public or university library," apparently unaware that federal agents still have to present a case to a FISA court for permission.

Joined fellow Congressional Mensa member Eddie Johnson in calling for UN observers to monitor US election, saying Moore's F9/11 showed "the 2000 elections were rife with deception & fraud." (Lee apparently unaware that US Justice Dept Civil Rights Division found "no credible evidence that Floridians were intentionally denied their right to vote during the 2000 election.") Has not yet called for UN observers to monitor Cuban elections.
With Dennis Kucinich, sponsored fundraisers with CAIR, several of whose leaders have been indicted on federal terrorism charges. With Kucinich & Cynthia McKinney, filed lawsuit against Bush, Powell, & Rumsfield for withdrawing from Vietnam-era ABM treaty.
Member of Congressional Progressive Caucus with luminaries Kucinich, Sanders, McKinney, DeFazio, & Conyers, which proposes sweeping health care subsidies with no indication of how to pay for them. "Consumers & medical professionals, and not corporations, should make decisions with regard to health care & prescription drug pricing." "Economic inequality is the result of 2½ decades of government policies tilted in favor of large asset owners," in case you thought it was the result of individual differences that have been around for 10,000 years.
Opposed Iraq War: "The president has told us that we must attack Iraq because our nation is in imminent danger from Saddam Hussein," when of course Bush said no such thing, arguing that Hussein must not be allowed to become an imminent threat.
Roll-Call: Voted NO on reducing Marriage Tax & tax payments on Social Security, making increase in child tax credit permanent, on eliminating marriage penalty, on making Bush tax cuts permanent, on eliminating estate tax, on $46 billion in tax cuts for small business. Supports reparations for slavery, prohibiting oil drilling in Arctic wasteland, sending Colin Powell to Durban hate-fest.

It's a good thing that there is at least one person in DC with the sense and courage to speak Truth to Power--who would Jesus bomb and when do you think He would authorize war? Her record and shows that she is not willing to walk lock step and simply amen craziness. It takes social courage and moral fiber to do that. Don't hate her because she has the guts and the fortitude to speak her conscience.

The people on the right ( myself included), dont waste our time and lives with hate, we see things and people for what they are. THEY are the ranters,.......the name callers ,.....the people who seem to hate the very country that gives them the platform for their pontifications. Discourse is a great thing,the give and take of ideas,..................but it seems among the libs/dems,........you are only allowed to have an opinion as long as it agrees with theirs. NO free speech if you disagree,........and NO "political incorrectness" ever, which means the truth will always take second place ( and a brutal beating) among the dems/libs.
